» Poem: Train Wreck
Train Wreck
written by Morbid Angel

Train Wreck burning,
People screaming,
Metal twisting,
Hearts breaking.

Theres nothing left but the ashes,
The time taken to realise you were alive.
People screaming around you,
But buried in dark they're not your problem.

The chain of hearts,
Colliding at a wrong turn,
Everytime you feel like letting go,
Remember they crashed and burned.

I sung to myself softly.
To keep my mind from failing,
Trying to remember the words,
Trying to hard to keep softly singing.

I wondered if it was your hand touching mine,
I felt too numb to try.
In the broken wreck of a crash,
You were always there to take my hand.

Thinking this journey would be forever,
So many threats to make it go wrong.
Being popular with the driver,
Won't get you very far.

You imagine the peoples faces,
As they watch the tragedy unfold.
But it's ok for them at their safe distance,
While we're buried in the dark alone.
