numb me sweetly

come take away my pain
when nothing hurts and nothing bleeds,
not even the scars burned into
my forever wounded soul,
soothe me
as i am fading,
melting into you....
all the tears have slipped away,
leaving traces of all
that i once was.
sweetly, safely lay me down
into this bed of roses,
soft dreams
shattered like broken glass.
crossing over blindly
into this tormented place,
numbly watching as you hide
behind the fallen shadows
regretting this bitter goodbye.
just forgive...
just forget...
as morning comes
to whisper a soft hello,
just take away the pain,
numb me sweetly,
calm me with your touch,
make everything be alright |
