» Poem: defeated
defeated
written by trulybroken57
11:52 PM 2/13/05
she slumps to the floor,
discouraged by the angry defeat.
she fought hard,
sh fought long,
yet still they ripped her apart,
tore her open and
left her crying and alone
to fend off the bloody end
in the cold rain of night.
she looks out into the fog,
her eyes pleading
for one last chance,
a chance to prove herself
to those who laughed at her,
made her feel so worthless.
she's screaming now,
hoping they will hear her,
but her faith in being found
is slowly dripping away,
falling to a puddle at her feet.
slashing the icy water
with just the tip of her knife
she knows this is the end,
she is giving in
to all she fought so hard to forget,
she is faintly bleeding,
so slightly alive now.....
