» Poem: A Look Through the Moving Window
A Look Through the Moving Window
written by Orelinde
08:14 AM 2/14/05
It's more like a
viewing screen than
a shield.

True you cannot be hindered,
by the wind but I can see
the long stretch of asphalt ahead.

There is something
about being secluded,
from the elements and
senses they may cause.

Like driving through
an empty town at night;
a light drizzle floating down,
and street lights through
crystalline water.

Saying "adios" was something
we never did nicely;
the sky-water sympathized.
I would have stayed in
my cumulus cloud if
I had a choice.
