Love and Lies
written by fuzzypunkhat

While memories remind me with paranoia,
Like a stiffling injection of anti-depressant medication,
To keep memories from reminding me with paranoia,
Like a blast from the past but nearly tainted.

When I remember the time we spent together,
Somehow I just know we would never be forever,
I wish I had taken those last moments for granted,
Young romance is so beautiful, yet mysteriously enchanted.

And while you sit on the bench thinking of me,
About your faults and wrongs and how we could never be,
How you said you cared as you looked into my eyes,
I can't believe I lead myself on,
Then trusted your simplistic lies...
