Say A Little Prayer

Lay my head down to rest,
Kneel down by the bedside,
And say a little prayer.
Dear God so high in heaven,
I don't think that I'll make it.
I'll sleep way past early morning,
No longer will I fake it it.
To open my eyes,
Light floods in from the sky,
To blind me once again,
In your nightmare of dreams.
Fading away is your secret,
Oh won't you share it with the world?
You don't know what'll happen if you keep it,
I'm still just a little child.
And you want me to be strong,
Keep me holding on,
But this life is way too long,
To keep opening my eyes,
Flooded by the light,
To blind me once again,
A walk through paradise.
I give to you my feelings,
And leave to the world my memories,
To pick apart and find things,
That I'd never let them see.
In the morning I will lie there,
So perfectly still and unaware,
Of the pain that lift keeps bringing,
But I'll no longer need to care.
I'll never open my eyes,
Too scared of the light,
Locked inside a dream and it's all I'll ever be. |

I have school on monday, and I can't take it. I know I have to get used to it, but too many people hate me for me to want to go back.
I don't want to have to wake up when they tell me I have to.
