» Poem: Bleeding Heart
Bleeding Heart
written by lost_and_forgotten
01:46 AM 2/21/05
I'm doing fine
And then my heart cracks
As tears fall from my eyes
And I know I am going to die
Of a bleeding broken heart.
How warm it feels
As all of the blood
Gushes up to meet me.
...Comforting...
...Soothing...
A sheer red film
Covers my teeming eyes
And all is rouge and glossy.
I choke on the blood
That overflowed
From my bleeding heart
And die at the feet of my betrayer,
The sacred feet of my one true love,
The feet of my silent killer.
