"Raven Babylon"
written by maledeth09:10 AM 2/22/05A raven, vade mecum, to help me find a serenade in rural wastelands.
Through flooded animosity, and grains of hourglass sands.
The bluest night, and blackest day. Crystalline macabre depicted fright whilst I lay to rest in heavy cry.
Rain soaks my pride to be,
Tattered volumes, history.
I am left to remain living with my eyes as pen, and mind, caligraphy.
Distance disillusions truth. Lost my way too many times, reclused.
To savor what grounds were spoiled with mere fantasy.
The tears have dried. Throats whisper sighs and alibis.
I must find my way to raven forever.
A beastful lust had grasped my back, onwards to heaven's opposition.
No time to think, and even less for the blinking to ward off the vicious taint of darkened mirage!
At first came dereliction, derogative verse of sexual premonition where lust was first cursed.
Second came dismissal, like histamine well vented. I shook immensely. Ever-repenting.
Third and foremost came deception....a raven led me to figment infection.
To sob as clouds, a serenade whipser, ever haunting me to never return to a Raven's Babylon.
I damn the dream and more the daze, as I drone away to the black windsong. |
