» Poem: He Carved His Heart Out |
He Carved His Heart Out
written by Morbid Angel01:53 AM 2/26/05On his last moment,
He carved his heart out.
I asked his soul why,
"It's because you're beautiful."
But I think his soul lied,
Whatever happened in his one last moment?
Cuts can heal and wounds are licked,
But I guess you never healed.
Was it my turn to save you?
From the dangers of the deep,
The whispers they keep,
And all the fears in your one last moment.
I can hear you falling,
Is this your method of payback?
I'd like to think you weren't like that,
You always said you loved me back.
I'm sorry if I forgot to save you,
I've got to live in your one last moment. |
