Thought (Comments please!)

I had you figured out too
I saw only what I wanted to see
Like the petals of a rose
The delicacy of our situation was overwhelming
I wonder if this habit of mine
Is as biting and as poison as I think it could be
You're really not that far from me
So why am I isolating myself
I tell myself only what i want to hear
I like to play the victim
If you will take the part of the antagonist
My lifelong antagonist
So you see
My choice to be
apart from you
Is exactly that
A choice
Because I don't want to see
things for what they really are |
