» Poem: tears of ice
tears of ice
written by trulybroken57
01:33 AM 2/27/05
tears of ice
in frozen streams of
sweetly broken solitude,
falling gently to the floor,
crashing, shaking, my tears are breaking,
beautifully singing my song
of haunting unsung lullabies
as shard of mocking loneliness
rain from my frozen eyes,
dusting my rivers with sorrow.
dripping to the floor,
these tears i've cried are saving me
from silently melting away.
lying in the dark,
cold, my breaths becoming shallow,
i'm waiting for the end
to come and take me away,
mourning the loss
of my black, broken soul.
weeping softly.......
numb inside.......
keep me frozen now.........
long awaited emptiness
now calms my tortured soul
with icy, soothing lullabies.........
please come and break my solitude
