Once In A Lifetime

Softly between the blades of grass.
The sun shines down, and it's light
Is reflected by the morning dew.
But still it still shines,
When the clouds run past,
Blinding the eyes of a child,
So it never looks back.
The moon sits in the sky,
Slowly nearing the sun's
Eloquent candle light.
Burning with a passion.
Eyes lie upon this rare embrace,
A beautiful display,
Sun and moon face to face,
This was no ordinary day.
The sun darkened it's glow,
And the glisten of the grass
Dulled in the moon's shadow.
Oh, the elegance of black.
Shadows holding onto eyes,
Too weak to stare at this love in bloom.
Wrapping their arms around the light,
The shadows put a spell on you.
The moment fades
As quickly as it passed.
Making way for brighter days.
Once in a lifetime.
The moon walks back into the night,
He may be lonely but this is what he lives for.
Now he'll slowly sit through time,
Waiting for his beauty, to hold her. |
