The Rose (Please read this)

You departed from this cold, cruel world all too soon
I wanted to say goodbye
But it was your time
You were so peaceful when I saw you last
A petal falls to the ground
As my blood begins to trickle from a thorn
I fall to my knees and cry out...
The gray sky forever tormenting me with unseen eyes
I feel so alone and vulnerable
Even though my family tries to support me
You were my everything
And now that you're gone
Nothing seems to have purpose
I begin to cry and weakness overcomes me
Rain starts to pour down
Fall is ending, and the trees are so bare
Everything looks so desolate
I know I must go
But before I do
I tell you that I love you
And say a prayer
Lighting a cigarette
I turn around and retreat back to my car
Feeling helpless
Death's stale pungent odor filling my nostrils
I get in my car and turn the ignition
I realize that we are apart for now
But it won't be long until I join you once again |

| im sorry you lost someone so dear to you...but its good to know that you had someone close enough that you cared so deeply for them....i have no one in my family like that. great job! |
