For Dad

And rip them up
Into a million tiny pieces,
Never to be seen again.
I find something to live for,
Something to love
And you pry it from my grasp,
Holding it high above you
So that I can not reach
And I am a helpless child
Once again.
A child with out a dream,
A child with no love,
A child who's life
Is cold and empty,
A child who might as well
Be dead.
It's you that takes away
Every dream of mine
And still, you wonder why
I hate you.
