Me

Just to make it through.
Things I don't even understand some times.
I know some of it makes me feel shame in the depths of my mind.
I just wanted you to know Iv tried.
Left alone, to think on my own.
In the dark there was just me and the demons.
So I sat and started scraping away at my skin for different reasons.
I did love the pain and bleeding.
Its all you left me with.
Not even a twitch.
Nor a flinch.
I gave no second thought to the open veins.
And the open mind.
The one awakening from child hood innocence.
Only to see hardcore life.
I can recall all the things you taught me.
When you did teach.
I can remember you handing me things that were out of my reach.
Its about time I tell the truth.
I'm too old now for you to help.
I'm to scarred now to go back.
Look at me.
I'm way off track.
Tattered bruised, scarred.
And yes, even a little scared.
But who isn't?
Take a look around, its fucked up, and we all fuck up.
Who hasn't?
Can you honestly say.
That you are better than me in every way?
Iv made mistakes Father.
Are you listening?
I want you to HEAR ME!
I want you to know.
I'M JUST LIKE YOU!
FUCKED UP AND INSANE!
LOOK AT ME!
I'M PLAYING WITH A GUN AGAIN!
HEY!
DAD WATCH THIS BOOZE HELP ME GET AWAY!
I NEED TO ESCAPE THE PAIN!
THE PAIN THAT BEING LIKE YOU BRINGS!
Why must I push everyone away?
Why can't I open up? maybe offer a hand? or help in some way?
I know I'm to blame.
Even if part of my problem's involve your last name.
The one passed down.
The one given with a sadistic crown.
Its alright Father.
I know who I am now.
So I'll leave you be.
Remember this as I walk deep into insanity.
I'm a Demon.
