She took her own life slowly

she seemed to insist
but they proved her wrong
with the marks on her wrist
her eyes full of tears
that fall on her cheek
shes getting scarred and feeling weak
these designs on her wrist
indicate what she never was
its getting worse
but its what she does
theres no hope
she wants to die
she cuts a little deeper
as she starts to cry
she holds the photo
of the one who broke her heart
who made her all lost
and made her torn apart
she wrote down her thoughts
on the tiny little photo
more and more cuts
maybe one day he'll know
she held the knife
one last time
and brought it to her heart
as the clock sounded its chime
the place that caused
her so much pain
was now destroyed
she had no more left to gain
the photo feel out
of her limp fingers
landed in the pool of her blood
no more dreams in her mind linger
a couple hours later
she was found curled up
the photo a few feet away
the words facing up
her parents held it in their hands
and read with forming tears
they couldn't stand to know
she felt this way for years
"I had to take my life
you just don't understand
i stabbed my heart with hate
held the knife high in my hand
my love caused my pain
i hope he dies in misery
knows how he killed my soul
and knows now i am free"
her life was taken slowly
first she was gone mentally
her cuts are still there
and now physically |
