» Poem: Beneath a steel sky
Beneath a steel sky
written by Mars_Phoenix
04:17 AM 3/13/05
Hanging steel from an empty sky,
Faces blur as they pass me by
But hanging steel reminds me why,
You build it up just to let it die.

Vultures behind every friendly face.
If you don't have a gun you run a murderous pace,
Inside this hand a machine of the Gods,
The mind to create and defy all the odds.

Beneath a steel sky,
Praying for light to touch these eyes
Beneath a steel sky,
Wait for signs that we'll realise,
Beneath a steel sky...
Beneath a steel sky...

But God don't know my face
No, God don't know this face.
