Dad, you'll remember

It's the last day I'm gonna be here.
You never noticed me,
so just have another beer.
You never cared about me,
you just drink and drink.
You don't listen to me,
you don't care what I think.
Why did I even bother with you?
You never had time for me.
You never had time for anything,
this is the way its gotta be.
It doesn't matter anymore,
nothing is going to change.
But if I had my way,
everything would rearrange.
But it's not going my way,
it won't change at all.
So don't worry about me,
don't even call.
Don't worry about me,
don't bother to try.
Because sooner or later,
Dad, you'll remember me and cry. |
