» Poem: Tamara, Please dry your eyes
Tamara, Please dry your eyes
written by suicide_penguin
06:51 AM 3/13/05
I see glistening cheeks wet with tears
But please dry your eyes
And have no fear
Because I'm sure to see you soon again
Please understand I couldn't walk away
He called me out because its my time
Have no worries
For there is no pain
nor is there shame
in this place where I am
Soon enough we will meet again
But until that time
Please dry your eyes
And have no fear
keep my memories alive in your heart
Don't let them die
For that is when my soul is sure to depart
I'll be up in the clouds
Watching, guiding your every step
And when you miss me, look in your heart
There you'll find me, in those memories we've had
If you didn't get to see me before I go
My last breath was hanging on to you
I wanted and got a friendship based on eternity
And I'll visit you in your peaceful slumber
If ever you feel like there's noone around
Close your eyes, relive the days
Where we've been the bestest of friends
Oblivious to the afternoon beach sun
Please dry your eyes
And have no fear
Close your eyes and smile
Because I'm here all this while
Remember the times we laughed over the teeniest thing
Or cried over the darkest problems
Remember the times we stood by each other
Writing poems like these to one another
At this moment, I am thinking of you
The way you made my day
When you shared your secrets with me
Or throw a warm smile in my way
I wont say sorry now that I am gone
I guess it was already fated
I'd just like to thank you lots and lots
For making it worthwhile while it lasted
Tamara, your my own raccoon
Please dry your eyes
And have no fear
Just close your eyes, and give me your special smile
Because I'll be beside you all the while
