To those who criticize

Spouting off trivial drivel all the time.
Feed me your hatred and dislike, along with your discontent.
I'll use to my advantage.
I could mold one insult into a thousand pages.
If you insist upon insulting what I write.
Take heed, that everything you say, will be dragged into the light.
Face me with everything in your criticizing heart.
Try to verbally tear me apart.
Soon you'll come to find.
I am a stone, a solidified poet set out to ravage as I roam.
None of your attempts at miniscule rule my life.
But I think it is my work that digs deep into your mind.
Slithering in through your eyes.
My voice like a snake deceiving your egotistical ties.
Working his way around your defense, in between the cracks of the wall.
Within an instant, before you could retaliate.
You are stricken by his unforgiving hate.
Poisoning the thoughts you try to state.
But all is blurry, though you speak in a hasted haze.
Your words come out clear.
Yet you don't catch sight of the other demon whispering in your ear.
Left to be lead astray as you fall to your knee's and crawl forth.
Trying to grab an ankle and pull me down along side your heart.
The one stomped into the floor.
The one bleeding forever more.
Its too late.
You've already been infected by your own fate.
That is the punishment for betraying the verse of the wise.
Not listening to he who says you are better off not to criticize. |
