A Secret Life
written by suicide_penguin06:35 PM 3/13/05Her smile shown in the darkest days
Brightening up everyone in so many ways
Little did anyone know what she faced when she got home
Standing hard as a stone
Hiding her secret life by a simple lie
Trying not to let anyone see her cry
When stepping into her home her secret life comes alive
As she wishes she could just live someone else?s life
Hatred, Anger, and Pain her parents put her through
The strong stone she use to be is falling apart and nothing she can do
Pulling her sleeves down to hide the bruises and cuts
Making one little wrong mistake her parents hit her and cuss
Turning up her radio to block out the screams
As her eyes slowly become one big stream
So many cries in the middle the night
While no one hears them and they turn out their lights
Trying to stand brave each day
Trying so hard to forget all the pain in every way
Shivers run through her body as she hears her parents fight
She knows they are coming to take it all out on her as she clenches her fist tight
Turning up the radio as high as it can go
As the tears slowly begin to flow
A silent scream in the middle of the night
As everyone turns out their lights
Hiding her secret life by a simple lie
As she is finally free, she flies away from this life
To as place where she is loved
To a place up above
Her tears no longer fall
But missed by all
An angel that found her wings and flew to a place above
Where she is loved |
