Lovers

Where we can feel nothing at all.
In a perfect place where we can lie,
The stars can shine and tears can fall.
If the world around me crumbled now,
I'd just stay buried in my dreams.
Everything in this world could fall back down,
But I'm ok with my lover by me.
If I cried for you one last time tonight,
Would you forgive every mistake I made?
In this perfect place where all things are right,
Could you learn to trust your baby again?
If I say that look on your face is beauty,
Will you believe that I need you here?
From what I've known you're perfect to me,
Your reflection is so pretty in my glass tears.
Touch my heart with you fingertips,
Make me feel it tingle down my spine,
I'll try so hard to kiss your lips,
You're still my lover after all this time. |
