In this city so vibrant and free,
I take a piece of me and plant it to see,
If one day I will rise above the rooftops and skyscrapers,
To feel the sun on my face and know light,
Let it warm up this blood and heal this heart,
That this dark city slowly tore apart,
Let me rise above the endless shadow,
For never amongst so many have I felt so alone,
The empty faces, selling life via their mobile phone,
Maybe amongst the empty sky i'll find my home.
