» Poem: The Land That is Forever Ireland
The Land That is Forever Ireland
written by sarah10087

What has happened to this land of mass green,
The smell of burning turf follows me around
Its smell is recognisable everywhere
I would rather be nowhere
Than the country that I call home

The buses are different, they're awfully cheap
But they do their job adequately
And I can't help but to feel at ease
Apart from when its my time to leave
The country that i call home.

Dublin, a city comparable to london by some
But to me thats an injustice to a culture
Injustice to the people, an injustice to a nation
No country deserves more appreciation
Than the land that is Forever Ireland
