» Poem: Jeremy Wade Delle
Jeremy Wade Delle
written by xxxxxxblackdragonxxxxxx

Who would have thought that this quiet suburb
Would experience such loud silence
After Jeremy Wade Delle killed himself
He was only sixteen
And the media had started to notice the incline in teen suicides then
Some saw him as an amiable person
Showing no signs of torment
At least on the outside
But little did his peers know
Years of neglect from parents and classmates
Manifested into a bloody end
Demons were growing
Inside this boy's mind
His dad thought counseling was enough
But that divorce in 1979
Was the breeding ground for such violence
And for Jeremy
Common teasing so many of us experience in school
Was too much
Without much of a father or mother figure
And without many friends
He decided it was too much trouble
This thing called life
So he took his own
One partly cloudy day
January 18th, 1991
At Richardson High School
Turned his back to the class
And fired a .357-caliber Magnum into his mouth
And chaos ensued
Maybe people would take him seriously and understand him
As he lay there dying
