» Poem: Screaming Heart
Screaming Heart
written by sarah10087

My heart is screaming, it's screaming for you
To say everything you want to say
Do everything you want to do

You've been gone an hour, and my heart is crumbling
I can feel the parts, floating down
Go back to the hour of our fumbling

Look at the bloody mess you leave in your wake
My blood seizing in the carpet
What have you done to me for fuck sake

I'm a ruin, I'm the foundations I used to be
Now you are building me again
Better or worse we soon shall see.

And as I'm typing I want to cry, the cranes have stopped in their tracks
The foundations are left unbuilt,
and they're starting to grow cracks.
