» Poem: Hangover
Hangover
written by Morbid Angel
10:59 PM 3/25/05
I don't know why,
But at some point in my life,
I keep needing you again.
And it hurts so badly,
Like the sound of rain,
Reflected on a hungover brain.
Crawling to the bathroom,
To puke away my feelings,
Praying you not to hate me where I'm kneeling.
Apologising,
I'll never forget you this time,
Don't you think it kills to lie,
And tell you that I love you?
When sometimes I do.
But sometimes it feels impossible,
Like a hungover brain trying to escape.
