» Poem: Throne Of Modesty
Throne Of Modesty
written by Morbid Angel
05:15 PM 3/29/05
Trying to erase your selfishness,
You will only stop lieing if you live in silence.
My wings are broken and I'm so tired,
Staying strong for two puts a strain on my heart.
But am I worth no less...
What am I to say through the pain of being trodden,
Abandoned all reality and accepted this life,
But one day I will stand up.
We'll see who's fighting back now,
I swear to make you cry.
Maybe one day I'll break you,
For draining the strength from me.
Something you'll regret and never see,
Too high upon your throne of modesty.
You had your chance to love me.
With or without you I'll make it through,
I won't rip,
My skins not thin.
Don't say you're sorry,
I won't forgive.
