» Poem: Hide And Seek
Hide And Seek
written by Morbid Angel
12:00 AM 3/30/05
Playing hide and seek with your heart,
And hope I'll never find it again.
But with one glance into the mirror,
I suddenly shiver,
And realise your heart is in my hands.
This was love,
It felt so good,
And you don't know how hard I tried.
This game got boring too fast,
But don't forget just how we lived.
Making up for what I lack,
At my skin I'll hack away.
I think I fell from grace.
Ask myself why it is I cry,
All of this, just for you,
And I'm telling you this was love.
And you don't know how hard I tried,
You don't have a clue how hard I've cried.
