No put ons no masks

You’ll either be the both, or at least just one
I’ll make you look like the fool of all fools
I’m surely not the street’s village idiot
Though I’d make you dear teacher look like one
My manipulation and expressions will set you in a trance
My accent is rather head turning, a gift from the divine
My eyes always tell the truth a lie can always be spotted
I seem so perfect from the outside, so unblemished
I sound so perfectly relaxed, listen to my joyful laughs
Appearances can be deceiving my laughs are worthless
My life fucked over in early teen years, shit what did I do?
Physical beatings weren’t the worse, they seem to heal
Internal beatings were the worse, mental wounds won’t heal
I forgave them all, I still don’t understand why that is my fear
More shit I don’t have to address my secrets still lie
My life is rather routine, not even prescribed
Some mornings I can getup with ease, other days not so
I take some days as they come to me, put on a happy face
Other days I’m genuine no put ons no masks just happy.
Today? Great! |
