» Poem: Hell Rose, Heaven Fell
Hell Rose, Heaven Fell
written by Morbid Angel
11:53 PM 3/30/05
I'll save myself,
And open my veins,
I'll let go now,
And let life flow down the drain.
I was blinded by the sun,
Until life got clouded over,
Lost in a storm,
I can't help but want this to be over.

I'm not afraid,
I'm just too strong,
To let myself rot,
And get pulled down.
I'll defeat the object,
But it's not giving in,
Nothings gone wrong,
But lifes wearing thin.

I'm caught in the rain,
Drops hanging by a thread,
Over my lashes,
Showering my head.
Cleaning me before I go,
This is a sin,
According to the rules.

But who are they to tell me,
How I chose to die,
I can't get sent to hell for eternity,
Because I ended this life.
They believe in being honest,
True and something good,
A person worth honouring,
Someone they could love.

But the world doesn't work like that,
Times have changed and so did we.
People don't want to be perfect,
They want to do as they please.
This is a terrible place,
Where nothings the same,
Why should I live like this,
I don't want to do what the rules do state.

Why are we here?!
If it sucks so fucking much,
Why am I living,
In this world without love.
I can't believe in God,
After everything I've felt.
Something went wrong with these places,
Hell rose and heaven fell.
