Goodnight Song
written by Morbid Angel04:12 AM 4/2/05I could watch you sleep for hours,
In my dreams but not my day.
I'll sing you the sweetest lullaby,
If it'll help you sleep at night.
Until now I didn't realise,
Just how perfect you really are.
I didn't stare for long enough,
Until I saw me in your arms.
When I closed my eyes up tight,
You were behind my skin,
Longing for you to break out,
Starve until I'm thin.
I take back what I said,
I've changed my mind,
I wish I could love myself instead,
If you chose me you must be blind.
I can't live without you now,
You kept me hanging for too long,
Secrets won't tear my dreams apart,
And I'll sing you a goodnight song. |

It was well written, and perfectly set. Beautiful. |
