» Poem: Each Bullet We Exchange
Each Bullet We Exchange
written by Morbid Angel
11:29 PM 4/2/05
Where are you now,
When bullets are being exchanged,
With a heart that needs protecting,
And no one who knows your name.
All you can do is fight back and do anything,
Anything to fight the pain,
Because it hurts so fucking bad,
With each bullet we exchange.
Wounded by a former love,
Who forgot just how pretty you are,
With no one to hold your heart now,
And victory seems so far.
All you can do is lay there and do nothing,
Anything to die again,
Because I'm numb from all the pain,
With each bullet we exchange.
Standing once so high,
Beautiful when you fell down,
Pushed away by all your exploding lies,
When they blow it sounds so loud.
All you can do is walk away and do everything,
Everything to get away,
You may be my weakness,
I'll evade each bullet we exchange.
