For the last time
Hold me tight
For the last time
Look deeply into my eyes-
But please don’t dry them
These will be the last tears
That I will cry for you
Whisper in my ear
For the last time
Kiss me gently
For the last time
Look at me take note-
See the resentment
Please don’t leave me here
I don’t like to be alone
Indulge me
For the last time
Shower me
For the last time
Though you’re so far away-
I can see you, in my dreams
I see you amongst the bloodshed
In a war that won’t be won. |

I couldn't fit it in the title. Basically its a about the pessimism of a soldier’s wife.
