And So It Was

Me and him together, hand in hand,
Side by side with my joy, my life, my pride.
I remember him as a child, a fat porker!
Who'd guess he'd eventually be my lover!
Even back then, at the age of ten;
I thought it through the day we met.
But he was big, bigger than I, so I began to fret.
He watched as me and my friends sang,
and this is where our love story began.
He was extremely quiet, very shy, beguiling
to my intrigued soul, who'd have guessed it'd be,
his funeral case I'd be filing. |
