ode to failure

Your every wish became my goal, for your every whim I would have sold my soul
I obeyed your every command, for you I would've made a forest out of the sand
But then you went and expelled me from your life story
Now I wander this plane, my heart is filled with fear and worry
Without you my existence is meaningless, for I am an empire and you are my empress
I have been forsaken, from your life
Forbidden, from your sight
Banished, from your flight
Turned away, from your light
Without you I am in pain
For you I would have cared, shared, my soul I would have bared for you to feast
Your praise was the greatest pleasure; I let you play with my feelings at your leisure
I endured your every lashing, for you I would have sent the sun and moon clashing
But then you went and thew me out
Filling my mind with panic and doubt
With you I only got one chance, without you I wander as if in a trance
I have been discarded, from you being
Deserted, I’m no longer living
Murdered, by your feelings
Severed, as if by a knife
I’m suffering
You were my life, my love, my song, my dove.
You were my castle, my keep, my will, my thrill
But since you left me broken and bleeding
Like a trampled seedling, I’ve been no more |
