daddy..i dont understand

Why do you want me in pain?
Daddy, I don’t understand why you hurt me
Tell me it’s my fault again and again
Daddy, I don’t understand why you’re angry
Because I'm not what you think I should be?
Daddy, I don’t understand why you hit me
When all I’m doing is trying to be me
Daddy, I don’t understand how you do it
Watch your little girl fall from so high
Daddy, I don’t understand how you sit there
Knowing you’re the reason I cry.
Mummy, I don’t understand why you blame me
For the hurting inside of your head
Mummy, I don’t understand why you scream at me
And then send me to weep in my bed
Mummy, I don’t understand how you love me
If you say that you hate me as well
Mummy, I don’t understand how you laughed
Every time that I tripped over and fell
Mummy, I don’t understand all the loneliness
That seems to follow us around
Mummy, I don’t understand this feeling
Of falling and then hitting the ground
Mummy and Daddy, I don’t understand
All this hitting and hurting and crying
Mummy and Daddy, I don’t understand
Why you still hate me, however hard I'm trying |
