I asked God

I asked God for someone to care
Someone who would never lie
Someone whos always there
And listens to me when I cry
I asked God for "the one"
Cause I didnt want to be hurt again
I know Im a kid and sopose to have fun
And Im sopose to get a chance to have other boyfriends
But simply I just couldnt take the pain
And I was hurt so bad before
Now Im hopefully set for life
So my past doesnt hurt me anymore
I asked God for someone whos honest
And someone who wont break my heart
I asked for someone who wont be modest
And someone who will miss me when we're apart
I asked God for someone to understand
What I go through every day
I asked for someone that wont ever use me
And will never go away
I asked God for someone who will make me happy
And always makes sure
I asked God to give me someone
Who will let me know not to be insicure
I asked God to stop letting people hurt me
And for me to be independant
I asked for some one who when they said
"I love you" they really truley meant it
I asked God for someone to bandage my heart that some one had to brake
And for someone to forgive me for once
When I accually make a mistake
I asked God for someone who knows Im not perfect
And doesnt expect me to be
I asked for someone I could rely on
And who could rely on me
I asked God for someone who Id love forever
I asked God for someone who makes everything get better
I asked for a real realtionship
Not just me doing everything
And now Im overwhelmed
With all the joy you bring
I asked for an imperfect person
Who I could see perfectly through my eyes
And a person that would miss me too
When we had to say goodbye
I asked God to bring me this
About 8 and a half months ago
And there are so many things
That you still dont know
About what I really would do
So I can keep you till death
Cause if you ever left me
I would only have one thing left
That I would do anything to talk to you right now
Just to remind you how much I care
And I wish the next time someone upsetts you
That I could be there
I wish that you knew
I still pray everynight
That we can keep our love forever
And forever hold it tight
That in the morning I pray
For us and simply that you'll just have a good day
I recondnise the little things
That no one else would do
And if they ever attempted it
No one would be like you.
People think they understand
Just by what they observe
But Ill still pray every night
That Im the great girlfriend you deserve.
I prayed and prayed and now your here
Its hard to think it will almost be a year
If I knew every guy in the world
I would still choose you.
Because now that I have you
I'll do anything not to loose you.
