An Ode to Those Who Matter--*

And to you I owe my life, you gave me it afterall
and bid me feed, fed my childish greed.
Your milk so quick did i devour; 10 mins every half hour.
To you I owe my life.
But, you owe me my time. I'm forever locked in,
Looking after the childen your breeding.
And you also owe me my pocket money, i've noticed how meager you are.
You and your money, you wish to never part.
You owe me my time and my money!

And to you I owe my heritage. My Irish lifestyle,
It fills the niche that England only filled for a while.
You tought me the songs, the humour and how to have the craic, but you owe me my childhood and I want it back!
You spent my childhood in floods of rage
All i wanted was a father to engage, to give me away, on my wedding day, but you do not like the groom.
So there's what you owe to me dad,
and I want it all back.
