» Poem: Lonely Body
Lonely Body

The lungs still fill as does the bladder,
As do the eyes every night since your departure
But your not here so what does it matter?
The heart, it still pumps its crimson blood,
The liver is still poisoned, taste the bitter cud, its the booze addiction.
The hands still twitch, the nerves are jumpy
But the mind and the soul are no longer in harmony.
I'm alone, and feel the pain, that you seem to ignore.
What once was the disease is now the cure.
