Drinking beer,
kicking it into another gear.
Laid back, bottle broken in half.
Out of line,
out of time,
stayed out, came home lying.
Stoned and drunk, out of my mind.
Sneaking in the backdoor, trying not to make a sound,
as I crept inside.
Too damn high, to much booze.
Laying over the edge of my bed, into the trash can,
my head did rest.
Sick as Hell,
drunk as fuck,
caught by my demon, shit out of luck.
Roll another in the morning,
Wild Turkey will get me going.
Drinking, smoking grass,
Wondering if I’ll ever be able to make it back.
Off track,
eyes blood shot,
Drunk and High, I did rot.
Alone, cold, hard, like a stone.
Tumbling down the hill, without a goal.
Looking for another reason, to stay in drinking season.
Who was I!
Where did I go!
How much longer did I roll!
Beaten down by addictions abroad,
getting in trouble, even a few times with the law.
Beer, in the fridge,
dope gone today,
not smoking that shit, anymore, anyway.
Sober, and psychotic.
Just like old time tonic.
Insanity my drug of choice.
Music, my one and only voice.
Poetry and guitar, my vice.
Addicted to chaotic rights.
