» Poem: Love Long Ago
Love Long Ago
written by Morbid Angel

Was it my fault I made mistakes,
Or is there a reason that you're gone again.
I picked up the pieces you left for me,
And promised I'd never do it again.
Let go...
Do you really think I could?
Let go...
As if I would.

Set the world on fire and watch it burn,
Everyone makes their own ending.
Ours almost ended long ago,
But this time I'm not leaving.

A second chance is something I don't deserve,
But tonight your eyes shine so bright.
And like I said, I'll never go,
And make the same mistake as most.
I don't have the guts to leave you here...

My head hurts and I'm so scared,
I feel like such a coward.
If I could give you everything I had,
I would.
The truth is that I could.

You went so far away from me,
Now you're stuck so inbetween,
And the world seems so unfair.
Wading through the lies,
To see my shadow on the sea.

Give me everything I deserve.
