Sounds Inside Me
written by SuperBob07:00 AM 8/10/04I hear so many noises
Yet I manage to block them out
They come from the world around me
And the times when no one is about
When I fall asleep at night
I listen carefully for your breath
Watching you twitch to dreams of life
As I can't begin to find rest
It isn't you that I am listening to
Yet there is a sound that I can hear
It's the sound of the walls crumbling down
And I can hear it now loud and clear
The world that I had built from scratch
Was attacked by all that I had surpressed
Now as I try to start over again
Others think I'm just acting depressed
They won't accept that I fell victim to this killing game
Because they refuse to understand just how I lack
So they have no clue who I will maim
Making them watch their steps and always remembering to look back |
