» Poem: I Won't Sleep
I Won't Sleep
written by SuperBob
07:21 AM 8/11/04
I'm tired on this night
I'm tired all my life
But tonight I fear closing my eyes
And exposing a scene to which I would die
This thought will haunt me so much more each day
I will live in fear for now and always
Why'd I have to be so naive?
I knew he wouldn't take it with ease
But I told him anyway, because I should
And he would have died and taken all his good
He is a troubled one like me
And that is why together we will be
I need him now to prove his word
With him I'll be as free as a bird
Free from this cruel and hateful place
Because we would have won this feeble race
