» Poem: Deep Within Distance
Deep Within Distance
written by SuperBob

If you were to look beyond what you see,
what would you see deep within me?
Would you see all the horrors I endured,
or did those come out much too blurred?

If you were to climb over all my walls,
would you stumble over all the times I did fall?
Would you be able to feel my pain,
each time I lived without the rain?

If you were to walk into my arms,
would you feel the cold my heart can't warm?
Would you try to unlock the doors,
from all the times my feelings I ignored?
