Brighter Then Before

after all the lies and crimes I have commited,
you still find a way to love me,
a way to bring me out of my shadows,
and hold me in the light,
and the fright is slowly slipping away.
I am changeing now you see,
perfect is no longer me,
those lies are long gone,
but the years ahead will be something new,
because I now have a reason,
a reason to live.
I realize now how much I almost lost,
how much I should have lost,
but life has a funny way of working,
now I'm no longer lurking,
a shred of light has landed,
a smile almost finds my face,
and a path is now before me,
much brighter then before. |

For once in a very long time I actually think I almost feel happy... and its all because for once I let someone help me,I let somebody in to my world and I now feel better about my self and what I should do next.

| Hey, I was reading your poem, which is great, and then I read your foot note. I have to say "Way to go" there are so many things I could say about how letting people in and letting them help you can bring you so much goodness.
