» Poem: Home To Hell
Home To Hell
written by Morbid Angel
01:51 PM 8/29/04
She came home today,
Home to hell again,
She saw him standing there,
And she reconised that stare

The keys she held dropped from her hand,
She closed her eyes, tried to picture a far away land,
Where all the pretty flowers grew and all the birds sang,
She came home to hell and that wasn't what she found

Like a brittle piece of glass her body slammed against the floor,
Her body numb and broken, she couldn't take any more,
She closers her eyes and prays for mummy to walk through the door

Too numb to feel the pain,
she slowly drifts away,
Into her perfect world,
And there she will stay

Home to hell she'll never go,
She's in her land,
She's safe here now,
He can't find her here,
She's all alone
