» Poem: Died In My Dreams
Died In My Dreams
written by Morbid Angel
09:35 PM 8/29/04
I died in my dreams,
Fell a million miles,
You let go of my hand,
Said you loved me,
Or so it seems

Those twisted eyes
Looked right in mine,
They told me it would be alright,
You said that we would be just fine

I died in my dreams,
Fell a million miles,
You let go of my hand,
Said you loved me,
Or so it seems

Looking down at the street,
Didn't want to fall alll those feet,
Such a long way down,
But I held onto your sleeve.

I died in my dreams,
Fell a million miles,
You let go of my hand,
Said you loved me,
Or so it seems

You promised me to never let go,
But then you went,
Said you had to go,
You left me to fall all on my own

I died in my dreams,
Fell a million miles,
You let go of my hand,
Said you loved me,
Or so it seems

I fell to my death and bled on the floor,
Because you didn't hold on no more,
Maybe this dream was a warning,
All this time I've been a fool
