» Poem: Nightmares Sleep
Nightmares Sleep
written by Lovely_Suicide
07:41 AM 9/7/04
Sleeping peacefully
Eyes closed tightly
Blankets neatly beneath her neck
Head turned to one side
Body rolled up into an odd shaped ball

She looks so peaceful
No one would be able to guess what lies beneath those closed eyes
Dozens of horrifying nightmares

Running
Being chased
Haunted by ghosts
Fire
Water
Death
Suicide
Blood
Restless in her dreams
Trying to wake up but she can't
Fighting against the blankets
Feeling trapped
She twists and turns
Blankets get tangled up with her body

As her nightmares get worse
Her fear grows more intense
Intill at last she wakes up
Puffing and panting
Heart racing a mile a minute
Ringing in her ears
The darkness enveloping her
The sight of her is no longer peacefull.
